SCHARBER FAMILY

URBAN LIFESTYLE SESSION

Bec is a fellow photographer, but her & I have quite different styles. I love that she gave me an opportunity to be myself & photograph her family my own way. My work is probably less refined than hers, & often not technically perfect, but I love to story tell with my photos foremost & I’ll often choose an honest moment over a perfect shot.

For their session We went with an urban setting in the backstreets of town. Her kids are older now & we both agreed that it really helped to reflect that age & their current styles. I tried my best to capture her kiddos in way that truely documented the teen age & differentiated my style from all the photos she would already has of her kids.

I was amused to find that documenting teen siblings wasn’t all that different to documenting toddler sibs. There were tears, arguments & thrown objects, but for the most part we had a super fun & completely chilled out session & I fully enjoyed the challenge.

It took me a long time to get this mumma in photos but I feel accomplished having now done so, and I hope she’s stoked to have these updates of her fam.
